Valerie is an experienced human resource practitioner, with a strong background in HR practice and consulting, and a BA in Business Psychology from Massey University. She is a member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and is a Registered Career Practitioner.

Valerie chairs the Human Resource Quality Team and leads negotiations of Nurse Maude's collective employment agreements.
