A Chartered Accountant, Murray specialises in consulting to the tourism industry. He was a partner in Ernst & Young and its merging firms for 25 years, was Director of the Firm’s national management consulting activities for seven years and established Ernst & Young’s tourism consulting practice.

In 1995, Murray retired from Ernst & Young and set up M R Compton & Associates Limited to specialise in consulting to the international accommodation sector.

Jane Cartwright MBA FNZIM

Jane has held senior roles in the health system since 1992 before moving to work in local government in strategy and policy development. She has led developments in community, mental and public health and has substantial planning and operational experience.

Jane held the role of Chair for the Dieticians Board from 1996 to 2002, during which time she was also Director for Brakenridge Estate Ltd and Crown Public Health Ltd. She is currently Chair of the Familial Trust.

Janice Donaldson

Janice has worked for DHBNZ as Portfolio Manager, Service Improvement, since July 2005, and for the New Zealand Parole Board since June 2002. She has worked for two District Health Boards (Taranaki and Canterbury) and, prior to that, for the Health Funding Authority. Her roles have spanned Maori and Pacific Health, Quality and Contract management.

As Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Institute of Management, Canterbury, since 1982, Reg is responsible for the total operation of the Division’s activities, including the design, implementation and marketing of training and development programmes.

He is involved in leading courses for NZIM in structured programmes, training of trainers and special In-Company consultancy projects in the area of Organisational Psychology and Effective Time Management.

Rose Laloli RGON, BN, PG.Dip Health Informatics

Rose has a national role in Strategic Development with a national provider of mental health and disability services and has her own business as a health and disability consultant.

Her work has encompassed public, private and non-government health sectors, and health and disability advisory roles with ACC and Health and Disability Commissioner offices and a consultancy role to a number of health providers/agencies.

David Lang LLB

David has been a partner in the law firm of Saunders & Co since 1989 working principally in the commercial and property law fields. He has been a Council Member of the Canterbury District Law Society for 6 years and on the Complaints Committee (now known as Standards Committees) of the Law Society since 2003. David joined the Board of Trustees of Kirkwood Intermediate School in 2004, and is a trustee and Honorary Solicitor for a number of theatrical societies and trusts.

Jane has held senior management positions in Health and Local Government including three years as Chief Executive of Healthlink South a specialist publicly owned Hospital and Health Service with $100 million annual revenue and a staff of 2,000.

Jane is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management, a past Board member of the Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce, a Board member of a Charitable Trust in the Health Sector, a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and a past Director, Crown Public Health.

Prior to establishing his Management Consultancy, David was Chief Executive of Mainstay Properties and Director and Assistant General Manager Finance of Canterbury Frozen Meat Company Limited.

Current Directorships include Arrow International Group Limited (Chairperson), Harcourts International Limited, City Care Limited (Chairperson), Westland Co-operative Dairy Company Limited (Chairperson Audit Committee), Mortgage Express Limited (alternate), Vision Senior Living Limited (Chairperson).

Diana Sullivan N.Z.R.N.

Diana is a Registered Nurse, working in England for three years in Public and Private Hospitals. As a former Occupational Health Consultant she has worked in a variety of industries setting up their Occupational Health Centres.

Diana has been General Manager of Rossini International, an importing company and a Director of an Auckland Property Company, Vullino Investments, specialising in commercial property.

Ian Town MBChB, DM, FRACP

Ian Town Photo

Ian was formerly the Dean of the Christchurch School of Medicine and Health Sciences before taking up the position of Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Canterbury in April 2005.

Ian was Director of the Canterbury Respiratory Research group for 15 years and is a Medical Director and Board Member of the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand and a Life Member of the Medical Research Foundation.
