Bequests
Leaving a gift to Nurse Maude in your will ensures that your support of our work continues beyond your own lifetime. There are a number of ways you can make such a gift...
- A financial or asset donation, such as money, property, shares or jewellery.
- A percentage of your estate.
- A residual bequest that allows you to leave specific gifts to family and friends, with the remaining part of your estate gifted to Nurse Maude.
- A specific contingent bequest that comes into effect only if your primary intention cannot be met. For example; "If (name of primary beneficiary) does not survive me, then I give to Nurse Maude…"
- Name Nurse Maude as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
- Establish a charitable trust either during your lifetime or in your Will to support Nurse Maude’s work.
- Assign income from your investments.
Bequests should specify the Nurse Maude Association, and a suggested wording for a bequest in your Will, or as a codicil to your existing Will, would be:-
"I give and bequeath to Nurse Maude the sum of $...(or property, assets or a percentage of my estate as described) for the general purposes (or for a specific purpose) for which the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorized officer shall be a good discharge to my Trustees."
By letting us know about your bequest we are able to thank you.
