Diabetes Service

Nurse Maude provides assistance, support and education for people newly diagnosed with Diabetes and their families in their own home or workplace from Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, including assistance with the start of insulin or a change of medication.

Access to this service is by referral through a Diabetes centre, Diabetes Specialist, doctor or hospital and is free of charge. Community nursing also provides ongoing support to diabetics via a 24 hour, seven day a week service.

Home visits are by arrangement. Closed on public holidays.
