When the Nurse Maude Foundation was established in 1989 it had as its founding principle the generation of income to support our vision of continual improvement in community healthcare.

Today it provides much needed additional financial support to ensure the continuity and quality of Nurse Maude's work. Support of the Nurse Maude Hospice and the establishment of the New Zealand Institute of Community Health Care are just two examples of its significant contribution toward that vision.

FoundationThe Foundation has also supported the development of initiatives specifically designed to meet the changing and complex healthcare needs of our community, administering the Nurse Maude Campbell Ballantyne Fellowship for research and education projects in health and the Patient Welfare Fund for the direct benefit of clients who are unable to afford essential items required for their ongoing health needs.

The Foundation relies on legacies to contribute to opportunities that will directly benefit our community. If you feel able to support that work in your will please contact us. In doing so, know that you can leave no greater legacy than one which is dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable in our community. Our thanks, as always, go to those who have done so in the past. The result of their generosity can be seen in our work here every day, and for that we are most grateful.
