This year’s bauble is available NOW!
All Farmers stores across Aotearoa will be raising funds for their local hospice this Christmas with the sale of the Christmas Bauble and by taking donations for the Christmas Tree of Remembrance in each store, with Canterbury stores supporting the Nurse Maude Hospice in Merivale.
This is the 11th year that Farmers have supported hospices nationally in the lead up to Christmas with customers donating nearly $8 million over that time, helping keep hospice services free of charge.
Each bauble is $15.99 and thanks to the generous support of Farmers, the full $15.99 from every purchase stay in the community and is donated to the local hospice service. Farmers also passes on 100% of all customer donations to hospice from the Tree of Remembrance.
This year’s bauble design features a snowflake. While a snowfall might appear as a uniform white blanket from afar, upon closer inspection, each snowflake reveals its uniqueness. This mirrors the support that Hospice offers – unique and unlike any other.
Government funds less than half the cost of running hospices. In 2022 – 2023 it cost $200 million to provide free hospice care across New Zealand. While the Government provided $97 million, hospices had to raise over $94 million from their communities to bridge the gap. Supporting this year’s Christmas campaign with Farmers helps hospices give free care to their communities.
